Biography
Anneke studied psychology and clinical neuropsychology at the University of Groningen. Her PhD research focuses on early signs of developmental disorders. The research project is a follow-up study to the IMP-SINDA norms study, in which 1700 babies were examined for motor, neurological, and general development. The follow-up study is called BIRD: Biomarkers in Infants at Risk of Developmental Disorders. The BIRD study investigates early signs of developmental disorders by continuing to examine the same cohort of children when they are 4-5 years old. The research project aims to contribute to the early detection of developmental disorders by investigating whether early IMP and SINDA scores predict developmental problems at the age of 4-5 years. The research project is a collaboration between Accare and the Department of Developmental Neurology at the Beatrix Children's Hospital of the UMCG.
