Colin Ganzevoort

Colin obtained his bachelor's degree in psychology at the University of Groningen, after which he continued his specialisation in clinical psychology during the research master's program 'Behavioural and Social Sciences' at this university. His PhD research concentrates on anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorders in children and adolescents, with the primary aim of developing effective treatments for persistent complaints in young individuals. The project seeks to enhance understanding of predictors of non-response and identify effective treatment elements. In this context, he assesses the efficacy of a brief, intensive treatment for anxiety or obsessive-compulsive complaints in youth. Evaluation of the experiences of young individuals, parents, and therapists with this intensive treatment forms a central part of the research, with the goal to further improving this approach to treatment.
