Biography
Marieke Spijk-de Jonge is trained as a sociologist, specializing in medical sociology. After her studies, she conducted doctoral research at IQ healthcare, a department of Radboudumc in Nijmegen. Her dissertation focuses on promoting patient-centered and disease activity-driven care for people with rheumatoid arthritis.
Since 2016, she has been working on applied research at the Accare Child Study Center, including projects such as ‘Learning across integrated care services’ and ‘Youth care at the GP practice’. Since 2023, Marieke has also been working as a Quality and Care Development Advisor.
