Renee Kleine Deters
Renee has worked at Accare since 2015. First as a research assistant, then as a PhD candidate, and now as a postdoctoral researcher.
Biography
Renee studied psychobiology and clinical neuropsychology at the University of Amsterdam. The aim of her PHD research was to investigate how several processes and factors are associated with the presence of conduct problems and/or disruptive behavior (such as antisocial, oppositional, and/or aggressive behaviors). She focused on processes encompassing on neurocognitive functioning (how the brains processes information), genetic aspects, and brain structure. The aim of this research was tobroaden the understanding of the factors associated with conduct problems, to ultimately contribute to more effective treatment strategies. She is now working as a postdoctoral researcher on several project on the topic of disruptive behavior.
