PhD candidate

Selena Rosinda is PhD-candidate at Accare

Biography

Selena completed her research master 'Developmental psychopathology in education and child studies' at Leiden University in 2021. Subsequently, she started as a PhD candidate at Accare working on the Biomarkers in Infants at Risk of Developmental Disorders (BIRD) project. This study is being conducted in collaboration with the Developmental Neurology department of the Beatrix Children's Hospital of the UMCG. The BIRD study investigates early signs of developmental disorders. It is a follow-up study of the IMP-SINDA norms study in which the motor, neurological, and general development of 1700 babies were examined. Through the BIRD study, Selena aspires to contribute to early identification of developmental disorders. In this way, preventive action can be taken to reduce or even prevent problems in the daily lives of children.
