Marieke Messchendorp
Marieke Messchendorp has been a research assistant at Accare since 2011.
Biography
Marieke studied clinical psychology at the University of Groningen. She has worked at University Medical Centre Groningen since 2009 as a research officer on various projects, such as TRAILS and NESDA. As of 2011, she has also been working at Accare as a research officer. Primarily on research studies of tic disorders. One of those is TIC Genetics, in which we are seeking the genes responsible for tic disorders within parent-child trios. Parent-child trios are children or adults with a chronic tic disorder and both of their biological parents, neither of whom have tics.
