Smaakk! and 99gram

What are the outcomes of our online treatment programmes for eating disorders?

Status
Searching participants

Accare is a leader in e-health and offers children and young people with eating disorders both blended and fully online treatment. The purpose of this research study is to gain better insight into the effects of the Smaakk! and 99gram treatment programmes, as well as the target group that takes part in this type of treatment.

Who can participate?

  • Young people aged between 12 and 23 years with anorexia nervosa, bulimia or a binge eating disorder, who are registered with Accare

  • Young people aged between 14 and 23 years with eating issues that are typical of bulimia, who have registered via 99gram.nl

Background

At Accare, we use the blended treatment programme, Smaakk!. This programme was specially developed for young people with eating disorders. Blended means that the treatment takes place partly online and partly face-to-face. In addition, Accare also offers fully online treatment. Young people with eating issues typical of bulimia nervosa can register for this via www.99gram.nl. For both the Smaakk! and 99gram treatments, we are keen to gain better insight into the target group taking part in this type of treatment programme and the effects of the treatment.

The research study

At different points during treatment, measurements are performed to determine how the young person is getting on. These measurements are used to examine the outcomes of the online treatment programmes. The key aim of the measurements is for the young people themselves to understand how they are getting on during the treatment. The measurements relate to eating issues, but they also concern how the young people are feeling in general and their body image. We ask for feedback too - on the treatment and the practitioner providing treatment. Consent is also requested for this information to be used to gain better understanding of these treatments in a larger group.
