Klaske Glashouwer has worked at Accare since 2011, as a scientific researcher and practitioner (healthcare psychologist and cognitive behavioural therapist registered with the Dutch Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Therapies (VGCt)). She works within the department of nutrition disorders, eating disorders & obesity.
Biography
In collaboration with the University of Groningen (Clinical Psychology and Experimental Psychopathology), Klaske is researching different problems related to eating. This is fundamental research to understand which processes are responsible for the persistence and relapse of nutrition disorders, eating disorders and obesity. Research is also being conducted into (new) treatments. Our aim is to develop more effective treatments that enable more people to recover from their symptoms more quickly. Prevention research is also being carried out to understand how we can prevent eating problems. After all, a cure is good but prevention is even better.
