Roos van Doornik
PhD candidate
Roos van Doornik is a PhD-candidate at Accare since 2022.
Biography
Roos has a background in educational sciences and has been working as a PhD candidate at Accare's research department since May 2022. Her PhD focuses on the PAINT-P GGZ study, in which Roos investigates a short-term parent training for children with behavioral problems. This study examines whether short-term parent training with optional booster sessions up to one year after training is more effective in reducing behavioral problems than regular care for (parents of) children with behavioral problems. She also compares the costs (such as following therapy and the use of medication) and benefits (such as a reduction in behavioral problems) of parent training with booster sessions with those of regular care. Both short-term parent training and regular care are offered by practitioners in Youth Mental Health Services.
