PAINT-GGZ Pilot

Status
Completed

In the PAINT-GGZ Pilot, we conducted a small-scale study to assess the feasibility for therapists and parents to deliver or receive the brief parent training in child mental health care (GGZ).

What is the goal of the study?

In the PAINT-GGZ Pilot study, we tested the feasibility of the brief parent training to determine whether it can be used in child mental health care (GGZ). We examined whether the behavior of children changed after their parents completed the training. We also wanted to know how satisfied parents and therapists were with the brief training.

How is the study structured?

Parents received the brief parent training at Accare in Groningen. For the study, we measured the families' progress at four different time points. We also asked parents and therapists how satisfied they were with the training.

How far along is the study?

This study has been completed. The brief parent training appeared to be effective in reducing children’s behavioral problems. Parents and therapists were satisfied with the training. Therefore, the training is now being further investigated in the PAINT-GGZ and PAINT-POH projects.
