Biography
Tycho works as a senior researcher at Accare and is also a licensed healthcare psychologist (GZ-psychologist) and ADHD expertise coordinator at Levvel. His research focuses on children and adolescents with ADHD and behavioral problems. Within the PAINT consortium (www.paint-studies.nl), he studies how psychosocial interventions for children with ADHD or behavioral problems can be improved and how they can be better implemented. Additionally, his research includes examining potential negative effects of receiving an ADHD diagnosis, risk-taking behaviors in adolescents with ADHD, and the interaction between ADHD and attachment. He is one of the editors of Child and Adolescent Mental Health and the Journal of Attention Disorders, and chairs the accreditation committee of the Effective Youth Interventions Database at the Netherlands Youth Institute (NJi).
