Biography

Annabeth Groenman works part-time as senior researcher in Accare’s research department and she also works part-time at the University of Amsterdam. At Accare, she works within the ADHD and overactive behaviour consortium. This consortium researches psychosocial treatment in ADHD (see also www.paint-studies.nl). Annabeth is specifically interested in the long-term outcomes of ADHD and factors that may affect these long-term outcomes, such as treatment, comorbid disorders and environmental factors.

As part of the IBIS project we examined what is already known about interventions without medication for challenging behaviours of adults with intellectual disabilities. There are a lot of those interventions. However, it is unclear if these interventions are effective.
